Sherilyn Ann Fenn aka Sherilyn biography

One of the “10 Most Beautiful Women in the World,” by US Magazine in 1990, and one of the “50 Most Beautiful People in the World,” by People Magazine in 1991, and one of the “100 Sexiest Women in the World,” by FHM Magazine in 1995, Sherilyn Fenn is an Emmy and Golden Globe nominated American actress best known for her role on David Lynch’s groundbreaking television series, Twin Peaks. She’s also had a string of high-profile relationships, and thankfully posed nude for Playboy Magazine in 1990.

Sherilyn Fenn was born in Detroit, Michigan, into a family of musicians. Her mother, Arlene Quatro is a keyboard player, and her father, Leo Fenn, managed such bands as Suzi Quatro’s The Pleasure Seekers, Alice Cooper, and The Billion Dollar Babies. Fenn moved with her mother and two brothers to Los Angeles when she was 17, and enrolled in actor training at the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.

Fenn did a number of B-movies while starting out, including Dummie, with Johnny Depp. Fenn and Depp became and item, and were engaged in 1985. He got her a role in his hit television series, 21 Jumpstreet, in 1987. However, their relationship was short-lived, as Depp realized he was on a meteoric rise and would need to make love to dozens of the world’s most beautiful women over the subsequent decades. Fenn’s big break came in 1990, when David Lynch cast her as the reckless Audrey Horne, a femme fatale, in his television series, Twin Peaks. Audrey Horne gained cult status, and earned Fenn a legion of fans. Lynch was impressed with her work, and cast her in his 1990 feature film, Wild at Heart, alongside Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern. Fenn’s career continued to climb, when she took an impressive turn in 1992’s Of Mice and Men, film adaptation by Gary Sinise, and in 1993’s Boxing Helena which was directed by David Lynch’s daughter, Jennifer Chambers Lynch, and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.

Unfortunately, for Fenn, she had a backlash against the roles actresses were offered in Hollywood. Her resistance to the system, and to what was being offered to her, led to a career decline. Fenn now finds herself doing guest spots on TV shows such as CSI: Miami, NCIS, Gilmore Girls, and most recently, cast as Lulu Hogg in the Dukes of Hazzard prequel. The latter is perhaps the most inglorious mark on her resume, and we can only hope that people see her stunning beauty and she gets back to place she was at in the early ‘90s.
