Miriam Katherine McDonald aka Miriam biography

Real biography: Miriam McDonald is best know for playing Emma Nelson, on the N's teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. While Emma has had much drama over the years (born to a teenage mother, brain damaged father, stepfather had a brain tumor, pregnancy scare of her own, gonorrhea, bulimia, etc.), Miriam is surprisingly normal.

Career

Miriam started out as a serious dancer before she got the acting bug in 1999 when she landed a role on TV series System Crash. In 2001 she did voice over work in 13 episodes of the animated series The Ripping Friends. That same year she started her long run on Degrassi which continues to this day. Along the way she's made time for several made for TV movies including, She's Too Young (2004) (thankfully she's not too young anymore), The Poet (2007), and Devil's Diary (2007).

She will also be seen in upcoming Poison Ivy: The Secret Society (2008).
