Born on Marco Island, Florida, Leighton decided she wanted to be an actress after performing in a local production of the Wizard of Oz. But unlike the other 99% of little old girls who want to be actresses, she was good looking enough for it to become a reality. When she was 11 her family moved to New York and she became a model.
