Though she is most known for her role on 24 (Elisha Cuthbert), actress Kim Raver's career began as a child actor on the set of Sesame Street for three years starting in 1969. She would then go on to perform in off-Broadway shows and doing commercials for Visa and Jeep.
She returned to acting as an adult with guest appearances on shows such as Central Park West (Madchen Amik), Law and Order, The Practice and Spin City (Heather Locklear).
In 1999, she joined the cast of Third Watch, playing Kim Zambrano. She left the show during its final season to play Audrey Raines on the hit show 24. Her character was one of the few love interests of Kiefer Sutherland to not only live, but to reprise her role in several season. During the show's fifth season, it was believed that her character was killed off. This story device allowed Raver to take on a meatier role in the 2006 bank robbery show The Nine. The show received good reviews, but didn't attract much of an audience and was canceled after the first season. With her schedule freed up, Raver returned to 24 in one of the more shocking moments of the sixth season. Her character, it turned out, wasn't killed, but was merely held captive by the Chinese.
In late 2007, Raver will take on a less serious role, playing Nico in the TV version of Candace Bushnell's novel Lipstick Jungle (Brooke Shields).
