Life Story

Of all the supermodels in the world, Jessica Stam must have the most haunting eyes. At the age of 16, while still attending high school, Stam was discovered in a Canadian coffee shop by modeling agent Michele Miller. Soon after, photographer Steven Meisel spotted her and began using her in all of his ad campaigns.

In 2002, Stam won the Los Angeles Model Look Search, and her career progressed even further. She appeared on the cover of British and German Vogue and popped in print advertisements too numerous to mention. In the Spring of 2006, Stam walked in a jaw-dropping 64 fashion shows for Fashion Weeks in Paris, New York and Milan. In 2007, she appeared on the cover of Vogue with Doutzen Kroes, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha, Hilary Rhoda, Chanel Iman, and Lily Donaldson, and together they were called the the new supermodels.

She is also quite the money maker as Forbes Magazine ranked her the 15th Top Earning Model, with an estimated $1.5 million income for that year.
