Real biography: Introduction

Named one of People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People in the World,” in 2004, and one of Maxim magazine’s “Hot 100” in 2005, Diane Kruger is a German-born actress and model. It's taken this German born actress a little while to display her hotness here in the U.S., but she's prepped to be all over the place in the next couple years. Previously only known as "The hot chick in National Treasure," she will soon be known by name, even though she'll be the hot chick in whatever movie she's in.

Life Story

Diane was born in Hildesheim, Germany, but started her career as a dancer in London. After a Joe Thiesman like injury, Diane changed her mind about dancing and decided to become a model in Paris, a decision only afforded to really really hot chicks.In 1992, Diane was a finalist for Elite's "Look of the Year," which, although seemingly ridiculous, is a real contest. But acting was calling Diane. Unfortunately for her it was calling her and telling her it didn't need her, as she had trouble finding any parts that were of substance. Figuring it had something to do with her name, and not acting ability, Diane changed her last name from Heidkruger, to just Kruger. That must have been the difference.Diane began receiving American movie roles, starring with Dennis Hopper in a made for t.v. movie which may have not been watched by a single human being. But, her career was jump started. She won a role in Wicker Park alongside Josh Hartnet, as well as a part in the strangely disturbing Wolfgang Petersen epic, Troy. In which she played a woman who stood next to all the incredibly sweaty shirtless men that ran amuck in the film. Following Troy, the world was Diane’s oyster, and she chose to follow it up by doing a pair of cheesy Bruckheimer movies. Diane starred opposite Nicolas Cage in National Treasure and National Treasure: The Book of Secrets (oh, how mysterious that sounds). Hopefully Diane has had her agent assassinated after this turn. Diane will next been seen in 2008’s Addicted, starring alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar. She’s also recently divorced, so she’s “on the market” guys!
