Born in New London, Connecticut, Cassie began modeling at age 14. When she graduated high school she announced she would be forgoing college to pursue a career as a singer. Life Story
She was spotted by record producer Ryan Leslie at a party. He was “charmed by her personality”.He signed her to his record label and they began working on songs together. Her first album, "Cassie" (2006) featured the single “Me & U”. Te song was a top fourty hit for nearly five months. She is signed to Bad Boy Records and, along with Lauren London, is the spokeswoman for the Sean Jean women’s collection.
